GAINESVILLE -- The Gainesville boys basketball team used a stellar third quarter to storm to an 84-57 win over Buford on Saturday in Gainesville.
The Red Elephants (4-5) led by just 10 points at halftime but exploded in the third to put the game away.
George Manomano scored 20 points to lead Gainesville, while A.J. Johnson added 12 key rebounds.
The Red Elephants play host to Franklin County at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Buford travels to face Westminster.
