BRASELTON - The town of Braselton is one of six municipalities in the state to receive a Trendsetter Award this year.
The award was presented this week by Georgia Trend Magazine, and the Georgia Municipal Association.
"We were recognized for our efforts in the area of economic development," says Braselton Mayor Pat Graham, who credits the city's wastewater treatment facilities with recent economic growth.
"For a city our size, i think we are one of the few in the state that have reuse quality wastewater treatment plants.
Graham says the city applied for the award based on its new wastewater treatment plant, which has been in operation since 2002.
"We are very proud to be recognized for our efforts."
