Defeated Democrats Stick With Liberal Agenda

It seems like no news report, either print or electronic, is complete nowadays without a story about what the Democrats must do to regain power in Washington. After the drubbing the Democrats took in the recent election, it seems the first thing they would do would be to read Zell Miller's book and take it seriously. But from listening, it appears to me the key elements of the Democratic Party - the unions, blacks, college professors, Hollywood types and trial lawyers - are doing exactly the opposite. The core Democratic groups are insisting that their liberal agenda is the one any intelligent American would vote for, and that the reason they lost the election is not because they stand for the wrong things, but that the Republicans did a better job of selling their conservative agenda. In other words, the Democrats believe their liberal dogma is the way to go, and if they can educate those of us who are too dumb to understand that, we would vote them back into power.

Well, I have read Zell Miller's book. I have studied the results of the last several elections, both national and in Georgia. And probably more important, I know personally a lot of the people the elite Democrats consider to be too dumb to understand ... and as a Republican I hope they keep right on embracing their minority liberal agenda.
