Lula school observes 'See You At the Pole Day'

By by Ken Stanford
LULA - About 150 people - students, parents, faculty and others - gathered around the flagpole at Lula Elementary School Wednesday morning to pray for their school and their country.

It was this year's observance of the annual, nationwide See You At The Pole campaign.

What is accomplished by such gatherings?

"Well, it humbles yourself before the Lord," said Lula organizer Alan Edwards. "(It) honors Him and keeps Him the priority and allows Him to be the provider for the school."

The prayer session was held at 7:15 before the start of the school day.
