UNDATED - Arts programs in seven northeast Georgia counties - including Hall - are the recipients of more than $13,000 in grants from the Georgia Council for the Arts, administered through the Arts Council of Gainesville.
Of that total, nearly $4,000 has been earmarked for programs in Hall County.
The Lanier Singers were allocated $1,800; the Gainesville Ballet Company, more than $1,600 and, the Gainesville ProMusica Concert Series, $500.
The rest of the money was distributed to arts programs throughout northeast Georgia.
The Winder-Barrow Community Theatre was given $1,700; the Dawson County Arts Council received $1,406; in Forsyth County, the Sawnee Cultural Arts Center was given $2,000 and the Cumming Attraction Theatre Company received $1,125.
In Jackson County, the Crawford W. Long Museum got $1,440 and the Cold Sassy Players received $500; the Folkways Center for the Georgia Mountains in Lumpkin County was given $1,512; and in Stephens County, the Currahee Arts Council, dba the Northeast Georgia Community Concert Association received $1,603.
