WARNER ROBINS - The Macon Telegraph and The Daily Sun of Warner Robins will merge their newsrooms. That's according to two papers' president and publisher -- Jeanie Enyart.
Newsroom staffers will write stories for both papers, which are owned by Knight-Ridder Incorporated.
Enyart says the consolidation will enhance news coverage in Warner Robins and Houston County, just south of Macon.
The combined staff of 14 will be larger than either of the separate news operations.
Enyart says The Daily Sun will not stop publication. The Macon Telegraph also will continue to publish an edition for Houston and Peach counties.
