Gas leak blamed for Rabbittown fire

GAINESVILLE - Hall County fire investigators believe it was a gas leak that lead to a house exploding Tuesday afternoon.

No one was home at 2528 Oconee Circle in Rabbittown when the fire happened.

Hall County Fire Marshall David Kimbrell says that neighbors claim to have heard a very large explosion. When firefighters arrived the house was already a total loss.

Four members of the Brooks family lived in the home. The fire remains under investigation.
